WE THANKED GOD FOR GIVING US OUR RIGHTS—Olugele I

It was a moment of joy for the people of the Igele kingdom in Akure North Local Government, in Ondo State, yesterday being the first of October,2022. When the community gets a new head .His name is Ayodele Osanlade with a titled Olugele I . He was installed by the Oloba of Oba Ile , His Royal Majesty Oba Joseph Agunbiade. Shortly after the installation, the people of the community could not hide their joy and happiness as all that were present at the Palace of Oloba started shouting ” Oluwa E se o pe a joba nikeyin” – Meaning, God we thanked you for giving us a king at last. The whole events cummulated with drumming, singing, dancing and trumpeting to signifies how happy they are for the new king . The procession which began from the Oloba of Oba Ile through Shasha market to Federal Government Girls College-FGGC, Akure and terminated at the Olugele I palace , attracted more spectators. The Masquerade two could not hide their joy as all of them that followed the procession displayed their paraphenerlia and unalloyed support for the new king of their Communities.
Meanwhile, the new Olugele I , who said that he thanked God for giving them their rights after these years of struggling over the matter. In his words, ” We thanked God for giving us our rights.We also thanked the Mr Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN , the Executive Governor of the Ondo, and also the Oloba of Oba Ile for deem it fit to recognised the Igele kingdom for good things.”
You will recalled, that the Ondo State Government, elevated some obas from grade ” B” to ” A” few months ago in this year. It was this elevation that resulted to this latest development in most of the kingdom of all these new elevated obas .
Chief Olukayode Adeoye.
In another development, the Regent of the Igele kingdom, Chief Olukayode Adeoye (The Aro of Igele Land ) spoke with the Exponent Magazine News. He said that he had been a Regent for thirty eight (38)years and he would now have a rest for his life now that the community has gotten a new king. His words, ” It is a surprise package to us because I know that it was God’s doing because we have been on it for the past two years and we thanked God that today it came to a reality . We thanked the Oloba of Oba Land for honouring our request. We also thanked the Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN ,for making it possible.” According to him, he said progress is very important and that the new king should ensure that peace reign in the land. He also called for employment for the Youtths in the community.

Chief Adefisayo Adejimi Fabomi Egbedi – Who is the Lisa of Igele, said he was very happy for what the community witnessed today . He took us down memory lane on how he and the new Olugele I started when they formed the Igele Community Youth forum then. He said that he new that one day their efforts would yielded success and today it has come to a manifestation through the help of God and the People. He talked about the 6th Ruling House in Igele, which includes * Igele gangan * Ulomo *( of which he came from) * Ujapo which was divided into two ,i.e Ujapo oke and Odo , * Emure * Utamo .e.t.c. He however, advised the king that he should continue doing good just as he was doing when he had not been installed as the head of the community. He also said that what the community have lost before would be restored during his reign with the help of God.
Pa Adesomo James.
While Pa Adesomo James, the Chief Elomo of Igele, called for the support for their king , so that he could be successful.. He admonished the people to give their maximum support especially the Youths both home and abroad to the king in all ramifications, so that rapid development could come to the Igele land.
The Youth leaders Comrade Ajayi Oluwalogbon also pledged their support to their new king. Mr Kasim , a friend to the new king also said that their king had respect for all. He advised him to continued in that manner so that he could win more People to himself for the purpose of peace and development in the community.
