In recognition of their longstanding strides in uplifting Yoruba cultural heritage, eminent Nigerians were on Thursday, November 17th, 2022 honoured with different categories of award at the official unveiling of Dingi Oodua Yoruba Magazine in Akure, the Ondo State capital

Some of those honoured include Fresh FM GM, Babayemi Segun Babs, multiple award winner, Biodun Ilori, Olori Olusola Olusanya, wife of Asamo of Akure kingdom, Mr. Samuel Anu, CEO, Evershine Films and Travels Nigeria Limited, Pastor Jones Omokehinde among others.

The publisher, Mr. Sunday Agbaje while congratulating all the awardees said the honour was in recognition of their long standing strides in uplifting the culture, values and heritage of the Yoruba race.

While further reiterating that Dingi Oodua is the first Yoruba Magazine across southwest, Mr. Agbaje assured the people that the management of the publishing house will continue to do its best to give the culture and values of Yoruba people its pride of place.

The event also featured a guest lecture by Oladosu Abiodun Fatomilola where he spoke extensively on the culture and values of the Yoruba people, particularly stressing the need for the people to uphold the culture so that it does not go into extinction.

The climax of the event was the presentation of awards to all the awardees and the unveiling of the first Yoruba Magazine, Dingi Odua Magazine.

In a chat with newsmen, the awardees while thanking the publisher for deeming it fit to honour them said the recognition will spur them to do more.

In separate remarks, Fresh FM GM, Mr. Segun Babs and Biodun Ilori, popular radio presenter of Biodun/Kayode on Adaba further assured the management of the publishing house of their support in all ways possible.
