Barr. Adu BAGS OIL AFRICA LEADERSHIP AWARD.
The publisher of the oil Africa Magazine, (DR) Akin Egbuwalo today bestowed upon Barrister Olumuyiwa Adu , a political guru of our generations and philanthropist of our time. The event which took place today at the Dome witnessed a lots of activities like induction of new members and award to some selected people who had distinguished themselves in their niches in the society.
The Akure born indigenes was recognised for his humanitarian services for the upliftment of the indigents people in the society. The programme which was honoured by some great men and women that are into Oil and Gas industry took their time to appreciate the effort of the publisher by recognising the activities of the awardees in the society.
Barrister Adu Olumuyiwa , who spoke with the Press men after the awards said that what he was doing was just a calling from God to be helping the humanity. He said that he would continued the good work he had been doing as long as he is still alive.
He said he would continued to be helping the less privilege in the society. His words” This award would help me work harder and to continue to be doing what I am doing which the people acknowledge and appreciate”
The Barrister said that since God had called him to go into the politics, he had decided to be setting aside some percentage of his earnings to help those people that are really need it and that is exactly what I am doing. He went further , that it’s important for us to have the right caliber of people who would lead us so that the poor people that are suffering in the society would get relief from their hardship.
He said that he would continued to mine pressure on people for them to reason and do that which is right in the society . Açcording to him, it’s important for us to have the right caliber of people who would lead the affairs of this Country in such a way that life is meaningful to the people.
He also talked about the different types of leaders and followers . He said we have a political leaders and followers . He condemned the ideas of having a political leaders and followers in the country. He believes that people who really want to contest Election should engaged in debating on the Television while people are watching them at the comfort of their home to decide who is really capable and competent to actually lead and get such an individual elected into position.
According to him, what we see this day was that everybody keep on moving from one place to another thereby wasting the hours that were supposed to be used for a productive purposes. He believed that both the leadership and the followership are not doing what is supposed to be right.
In another development, Barrister Adu believes that the right things needs to be done by whoever that is being elected into the office. He also said that the bad leadership was the reason why Nigerians are still suffering, as we have enough quantity of crude Oil in this country of which large percentage of it ( crude Oil) are being lifted out from the county illegally and this had resulted to the suffering of the citizens of this nation.
His words ” if you go deep and challenge the quantity of oil that is being lifted from this country , I can tell you we have never gotten it accurately. He said it’s a shameful things for a country like our that have a refinery and yet we are still exporting our crude oil outside the country for refining of the product in return. He said that with this , one need not to be told that leadership is our problem.
Meanwhile, Evengelist Dele Alewi , from Alewilese parish church in Akure said that a leader supposed to speak the truth always in the society. He believed that any thing short of this , such a leader is not feet to be a leader. He advised people to be of good behaviour in the society because whatever one does is what God would reward us for whether bad or good.

Also, the spiritual leader of the Aiyetoro Community in Ilaje Local Government of Ondo State, HRM, Oba Michael Olaseeni Ajijo. The Ogeloyinbo of Aiyetoro said that it is important for one to give back to his Community . He said whatever things one is doing, we should know that some one some where is keeping the records particularly Almighty God is there taken the records of our activities.
Ogeloyinbo, who was one of the awardees, thanked the organiser for looking into what people had done and decided to reward them. He said the gesture is a motivation for people to give back to their societies.
