‘We Have Fished Out The Killers Of Mrs. Raheem But The ASP Involved Will Slow Us Down’ – Muyiwa Adejobi

Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the 25th indigenous Force Public Relations Officer of the Police Command has spoken about the gruesome murder of Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem. He has identified that the three police officers involved in the case are currently under detention. However, he stressed that due to the fact that an Assistant Superintendent of Police is involved, the rules of engagement might delay them in the course of dismissing him. He explained that it takes the higher superiority power of the Inspector General to dismiss the ASP.
He said, ”The police will not in any way condone indiscipline, we have fished out the killers of Mrs. Raheem Bolanle, you can go and find out, they are currently in detention. But the ASP involved is going to slow down the process a bit. Because of an ASP, the CP in command cannot dismiss an ASP, it’s a process that we need to write to the IG. We will forward a report to the police commission, the commission is the one that has the right to suspend this man.”
