*THE DANCE OF SHAME BY OUR FIRST LADY, ARABIRIN BETTY ANYANWU AKEREDOLU*
Episode 1:
*_Dancing naked at the market square, singing the songs of victory with ego_*
Today after an hectic day, rumors started flying that the first lady of Ondo State, Arabirin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu had thrown caution into the wind, over what should have been a private affairs.
She in the stroke of trying to assert herself as the first lady, threw the exalted office and Mr. Governor into public condemnation and disrepute.
Accusing Mr. Governor of infidelity and threatening to rain fire and brimstone is an act taken too far. Mr. Governor deserves better and more. He should not be turned into a subject of caricature for personal flexing of muscle.
The First Lady threw the internal security of the state into jeopardy and has succeeded in nothing but exposing her greed for power. Her statement ascertain that the condition of Mr. Governor is critical to consider death for him is beyond her purview. It shows nothing but self centered ambition to lay claims to power. This ambition is further exhibited by her statement that the Deputy Governor takes over, as though it is a new law. But God forbid, Mr. Governor will complete his term, but the self acclaimed digital mama must take heed and seek caution. OR IS MADAM FIRST LADY INVARIABLY SEEKING TO ATTACH HERSELF TO THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR? IS SOMETHING FISHY THAT OUR FIRST LADY IS YET TO SAY? The Deputy Governor has a loving wife and doesn’t seem to us to be ambitious to complete the term of his principal, or inherit the First Lady but serving loyally with his boss, to deliver the dividend of democracy. If he aspires to contest come next gubernatorial election, good willing he may be the chosen one.
The office of the first lady requires more decency than what the current holder has sprew out to the entire public.
She had even made such remarks that wished the Governor away with the “IF” he dies, catastrophic term. Too bad to wish one’s husband let alone the Executive Governor of the sunshine state and a man who has brought her to limelight.
For us in Ondo State, the Talk and Do Governor will not and cannot die now but will fulfill destiny. He is our Governor and his loved by the good people of Ondo State.
The decency of the Deputy Governor is now revealed that he is but a modest and loyal lieutenant, not to have tried to outshine his master at this critical time. Or even play the devils role to announce Mr. Governor to the world. It shouldn’t have been you, Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu who should be the publicity for such news. Mr. Governor has favored you and given you unrestricted access to the government coffers. Not even the 200 million donated by Governor Wike have you been asked to account for. Why should you imagine that some else is looting. The people of Ondo State, deserve further clarification.
An issue which is not supposed to surface at all is now the talk of the town. The first question we must ask the all powerful first lady, are; can there be an Arabirin without an Arakurin in Ondo State? To what aim has she decided to wash the dirty linens of Mr. Governor outside? Is it because the Governor according to her is sick, that she has arrogated all the powers to herself? Madam first lady must know that nothing must happen to Aketi, according to her, she is an Igbo woman. Our amiable Governor Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON is a son of the soil, and from the immaculate Owo kingdom. Ogho people with not sit back and watch “our Igbo first lady” speak ill of our Governor and son of the soil.
In Ondo State, we cherish our prides, and Mr. Governor is one of such special prides we adore for his doggedness and willingness to defend Ondo State as Governor.
The first lady must render a public apology for the public disgrace and dance of shame she has brought to the hallowed office of the Executive Governor of Ondo State.
In conclusion, Madam first lady, is also at liberty to seek a divorce if she feels no longer comfortable with the cordial relationship Mr. Governor has with his team, than to make a mockery of the Governor and the people of Ondo State. A word is enough for the wise.
