Ondo CIPAN Honours HOS As Patron.

The Chartered Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria Ondo State Chapter, have honoured the number one man, of the Civil Servants in the State, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, as her PATRON. The event took place at SITA Hall in Akure and it featured Lectures and Investitures of the Head of Service in Ondo State, with a topic ‘Understanding your Environment: What a public Administrator should know’.
The Chairman of the Association, Chief Oladele Akimoye, appreciated the Head of Service for giving them the good environment to operate. He said the Association had contributed immensely, to the development of the administration of the government in the State and in Nigeria, as a whole. He however, thanked everyone for attending the occasion.
The Chairman of the occasion, Dr Josephine Olayinka Olagunju, a University Don from the Adekunle Ajasin University, said people should pay attention to their environment in order for us to have a good and healthy environment.
Hon. Oyeniyi Oseni, who is a special adviser to Mr Governor on Environment, spoked on the theme titled ‘Human Pollution and its effects on Environment’, he said the pollution could bring harmful materials into the environment.
Oyeniyi said, pollution that are being introduced to the environment, normally cause harmful effects to the environment. He explained that, pollution usually cause the depletion of the Hozone Layer, which invariably could lead to global worming.
Similarly, the Guest lecturer said it’s important for everyone to protect the environment, for the purpose of having a healthy environment for all.
He talked about the dangers of improper wastes disposal, which according to him could lead to the outbreak of communicable diseases.
Head Of Service remarks
The Head of Service, Mr Kayode Ogundele, said he was grateful for the honours bestowed on him by the Association, as the second Patron of the noble profession, CIPAN Ondo State.
Ogundele said he was honoured and grateful for the confidence reposed on him and promised not to disappoint them, as he promised to work with the association, in the implementations of efficient service delivery in the state.
He talked about building a better and higher capacity, that would mitigate the challenge of the environmental issue we are having now.
He said the Administrators should think out of the box, in order to solve the environmental issues like flooding and other pollution that are facing the society. While telling people to develop themselves by taking causes that would enhance their performance in life to complement the capacity building being organised by the government.
He said the government had embarked on the training of some of her staff , on Accounting and in other areas, in order for them to be useful in their job.
He said government had given all the MDA their July running grants and that the approval of the leave bonus, as well as others allowances being owned by the government, would be paid to the staff this Saturday .
