Retirement: Great Joy Envelope The Air, As Olufunmi Pen Down From Service.

It was a great joy to the Family, friends, colleagues and well wishers of Mr Williams Olufunmi, as he Pen Down from the public service particularly in the Ondo State Ministry of Information and Orientation after spending thirty five years or attained the mandatory age of sixty years of age in service which ever one that came first. Olufunmi, as he was being called by his friends and Colleagues as ( BOBO She ) was a fulfilled career officer and a Journalist per excellent.
He spent his career practicing as a Journalist and core civil servants in the state ministry of information and and orientation.
According to the testimony about, Mr Williams Olufunmi, shows that he was a good man, diligent leader and amenable man of which according to them , that there is nothing he could not give out just to ensure that he satisfied the demands and aspirations of his workers or friends.
In the words of the permanent Secretary Mr Adeyemi Adeyemo described the celebrant as a great journalist who always encouraged his subordinate to rise from their low level to a higher pinnacle of their career. He said he had served Ondo State meritoriously and he needs to be served.
To Pastor Kayode Oladipupo he said that Mr Olufunmi was a great man who delivered his duties efficiently especially during the COVID-19 era as he perform excellently during that period due to the way an manner he managed the COVID-19 information. He said the man was grossly under utilized as he carried a high Intelligence Quotent of which the government was unable to type to the fullest before he pen down from the service.
The Administrative Secretary, Ministry of information and orientation Mrs Toyin Onisile said for everything their must be a season. He said it’s true that Mr Olufunmi had given his services to the society and now it’s time for the society to give back to him as he started a new life outside his retirement from the public service. She said the celebration was all about the God and she thanked his wife for giving him a great support while he was in service.
His Pastor described Mr Olufunmi as a humble man, a personate believer in God Almighty. He discribed him as personate man and his perssion was demonstrated one day as he saved a life that was dare need of assistance. His siblings Mr Gbenga Olufunmi said Mr Williams was a great asset to the family and the State in general.
The event which took place at the NUJ SECRETARIAT had in attendance great men of God and other government functionaries that graced the occasion. Among them are the Commissioner for Information and Orientation Mrs Bamidele Olateju and His Royal Highness Oba Rotimi Obamuwagun, the Olumoru of Imoru in Ondo State. On till his retirement, Mr Williams Olufunmi was a Director from the Ondo State Ministry of Information and Orientation.
