A combined rig of members of the Nigerian Bar Association in Ondo State with members drawn from Akure, Ondo, Owo, Ikare, FIDA and NBAWF trouped out today; the 29th December 2023 on a Candlelight Procession in honour of the Late Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, CON. SAN.
The group led by the Chairman of Akure Branch of NBA Akure; Mr. Banjo Ayenakin moved the procession from the High Court, Akure premises to the Governor’s Office in Alagbaka back to the Government House, Alagbaka, AKURE, Ondo State.
The leader of the group, Mr Banjo Ayenakin informed the Governor of Ondo State- His Excellency, Lucky Ayedatiwa that the objective of the procession was to honour the memory of the late Governor and to commiserate with the Government of Ondo State. The Chairman of the Bar, Mr Banjo Ayenakin stressed the fact that the Governor was an accomplished legal practitioner, a distinguished leader and an unforgettable elder statesman who wrote his name in the good book of Ondo State.
While receiving the group, the Governor of Ondo State; His Excellency, Lucky Ayedatiwa expressed his profound appreciation to the NBA. He emphasized that throughout the lifetime of the Governor NBA Ondo State stood with him. He stated that the procession was an indication of the genuine love NBA had for the Governor and an open affirmation that what NBA did when he was alive wasn’t an eye service.
The meeting was rounded off with prayers offered for the Governor family and Ondo State
