Gov.Aiyedatiwa Flags Off N1.2Billion Naira For Payment Of 2014 Gratuity For Pensioners.

Ondo State Governor His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa has flagged off N1.2billion naira for the payment of the gratuity to the retirees in the state for the year 2014. The presentation of Dommy Check was done at the cocoa conference Hall in the State House. The governor, who was represented by the Governor’s Chief of Staff Chief Gbenga Ale explained that the pensioners received the full payment of their gratuity benefits from the government. The was also collaborated in the remarks made by the Pastor Abiodun Akinsuloyen , the permanent Secretary of the pension transition department .
The head of the service of the state pastor Kayode Ogundele said he was very delighted to be part of the uniques event or things that is happening today.
He said the Governor was very passionate about the welfare of the senior citizens . He thanked the governor for putting smile on the faces of the retirees who had waited for years without receiving their gratuity but now the new Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa has done the great things by clearing the salaries arrears owned by the government to her workers.
He said that the same logic applies to the payment of the gratuity for the pensioners. He said it’s a mandate for the office of the government to pay the money owned the pensioners wether they know people or not in the government because the money belongs to them.He said the year 2012, 2013 have been cleared . He explained that before the end of this middle of this year the 2015 would be paid. He said about two hundred and fifty million Naira are still used to be taken care of the welfare of the retirees every month for their well-being apart from their monthly payment of the pension.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa who recognized all the dignitaries present at the occasion particularly the labour leader who he said they have been given them relatively peace of mind in the state used the occasion to appreciated them for the harmonious industrial relationships the state have been enjoying between them and the government. The Governor who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Chief Gbenga Ale said Mr Governor assured the people of the state of their welfare at all the times. He said government have paid the backlog of the arrears of the salary of workers including that of the retirees. The sun of 3.9 billions Naira has been paid for the settlement of the retirees in the state. He said those who are yet to benefit should excercise partient as their case would be addressed soon.. Some of the retirees received seven million Naira plus Dommy check being the payment of their full gratuity owned by the government for the year 2014.making 100%.

In another development, the Governor advised them to make use of the money judiciously and gave a warning that they should not allowed the desperate Fraud Star called 419 duped them in any way via dubious investment scheme or proposal as most people have know that government had paid her pensioners their full gratuity.
The beneficiaries thanked HE for the good gesture as he remembered them in the beginning of his government in this new year. They prayed with him that he would keep on having luck politically as he put smile to their faces by paying their gratuity in full.
The highlight of the event include presentation of the check to the beneficiaries.
Present at the event are the commissioner for health, Hon Banji Ajaka, Commissioner for Information and Orientation Mrs Bamidele Olateju, and others members of the state executive and the chairman of the labour leader Mr Victor Akoko.
