My Late Inlaw Mrs Ruth Edu Treated Me Like Son–Famuti

The Son in-law to Late Mrs Ruth Oluremilekun Edu has said that his in-law treated him like her son when she was alive. He disclosed this to the Press men during the service of songs organised by the children and other family members of the deceased, in her residence in Akure. He described his in-law as a caring mother, as she stood by him during the time he lost his mother. He advised the Children to replicate the good gesture and virtue of their mother. Late Mrs Edu was an Administrator, a Politician and Proprietress of Olufunmilayo Nursery and Primary school Akure.

Explaining further, Mr Famuti said the children should try as much as possible to do the good things their mother had been doing while she was alive. According to him, he said he believed that, that was what God called us to do, that we should be our brother’s keeper. He described late Mrs Edu as someone who always defend the people around her whenever they were in one challenge or the other while she was alive.
Explaining on the moral lessons learnt from the lifestyle of late Chief Mrs Edu, Mr Famuti said women should rally round their children. He said there was a time when his wife was not around, his in-law usually cook meals and send it across to him to eat, to tell you how nice she was to him and his wife.

Similarly, Mr Famuti said the love his in-law showed to the people around her, had made him go extra miles in taking care of his children by loving them more. He advised the people to do the same thing for their children in the society. He said his in-law lived a wonderful life on Earth and the celebration they are doing, worths it. He asked all the children to come together and emulate the good lifestyle of late Chief Mrs Ruth Edu.
In another development, Mrs Funmilayo Famuti Edu’s niece described her aunt as a disciplinarian, hardworking woman and not a lazy mother. She said there was nothing her aunt could not give out to people. She said mama loves people to be around her as she was an outgoing person and that she liked to be with people. She said that she would miss the hard work her aunt taught her and that she learnt from her how to give out to the needy and helping people in the society. She said there is benefits to be kind hearted and that it was not good for a woman to be lazy. She advised them to always have a large heart, to be kind, accommodating and not to give up easily and believe in themselves that they could achieve anything.
